Stanford Graduate School of Business Alumni Association Mission Statement: To engage and serve Stanford GSB alumni throughout their lives and to advance the GSB in its mission to develop innovative, principled, and insightful leaders who change the world.

The Board of Directors: The Stanford GSB Alumni Association Board of Directors, led by the Executive Committee, consists of a diverse group of alumni directors who help guide the school to assure that we are providing our community with impactful and meaningful ways to engage with the GSB and each other.  Board members are highly engaged alumni who serve as a a liaison between alumni and the GSB, reconnect alumni to the GSB, and provide recommendations and advice on Alumni Relations offerings. The board size is approximately 18 people.

Joining the Board: Annually in spring, new members of the Board are nominated and selected to serve for a three-year term which begins on September 1, 2024. The Nominations Committee seeks alumni leaders who demonstrate a strong history of volunteer leadership at the GSB, and are committed to supporting alumni relations in creating and expanding programming meaningful for alumni at all stages of life and/or career.

Time Commitment: The Board meets three times per year for two-days. Meetings may rotate between in-person and virtual. Board members are expected to attend on-campus meetings in-person. Board members may also be asked to work on sub-committees or on timely projects in-between board meetings. The time commitment outside of meetings for non-executive committee members is approximately 1-5 hours per month. Between meetings, Board members act as liaisons between the alumni community and Alumni Relations, represent the GSBAA Board in their continued volunteer stewardship, and model the level of alumni engagement that strengthens the impact of our alumni community and the GSB as a whole.

All nominations must be received by April 11, 2024. Please ensure the nominee can fulfill the commitments listed above in addition to their current level of GSB volunteer stewardship.
I have read the above description, and acknowledge that the person I am nominating can comply with the commitments. *
