You can play a crucial role in supporting Towne Acres this year by becoming a room parent.  Now more than ever, communication and coordination between our teachers and families has never been more vital to the success of the upcoming school year.

Room parents serve in a leadership capacity as they help recruit and coordinate the efforts of other classroom volunteers throughout the school year.  As room parent, some of your responsibilities this year would include:
Organizing classroom parties (Fall, Winter, Valentine’s Day)
Collecting items for classroom basket and helping with classroom art projects for Fall Silent Auction
Ensuring effective communication with classroom parents as needed throughout the year (e.g., emails/flyers sent home) and fostering a positive attitude in your communications
Chaperoning field trips as needed
Organizing gifts for your teacher and adopted staff members (holidays, teacher appreciation, birthdays, etc.)

Room parent sign-ups are being accepted online this year by completing the form below.  Please complete a form for each classroom in which you're interested in serving. Two room parents will be selected to share the responsibilities for each classroom, and we try to give every interested parent a chance to serve in this capacity at least once while at TA.  Once assignments are made, there will be a room parent meeting (likely via Zoom, and date TBD) that will give more details about the upcoming year.

Please note that given the current unusual circumstances, many classroom activities will look a little different this year.  Please be prepared to be flexible and ready for plans to be adjusted as we go along, as our safe return to school continues to be an evolving situation right now.
