Monday, September 23, 2019
12:15-1:30PM
UCLA Law, Room 1430

Talk by Dale Ho, Director of ACLU's Voting Rights Project and UCLA Law's Fall 2019 Margaret Levy Public Interest Fellow (https://www.aclu.org/bio/dale-ho)

In the past decade, the right to vote has been under assault across the nation.  Dale Ho, who plays a critical role in many of the current voting rights battles, will speak on his and the ACLU's efforts to fight voter suppression, including challenging voter ID laws, barriers to voter registration, and felony disenfranchisement in places like Florida, North Carolina, and Kansas.  He will also share what the ACLU is doing to ensure greater voter inclusion and participation, and his vision of fully realized voting rights in the 21st century.

As a land grant institution, the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy at UCLA acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (Los Angeles basin, So. Channel Islands).
