Application For Journalism/Yearbook
This application is for students who are interested in being on the ERMS Journalism/Yearbook staff.  The journalism/yearbook staff is responsible for assembling our school’s yearbook and reporting on school news. There is a significant amount of writing required in this course as we will demonstrate different types of journalism. No experience is needed to be on staff - students will learn how to use the staff cameras, photography, and interviewing skills that will be used for this purpose. There are, however, requirements that you should consider before applying to take this class. Students should have an interest in researching/reporting information and a passion for capturing the spirit of our school, along with strong work ethics and the ability/willingness to work collaboratively with classmates. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, fill out the application below and submit it to your counselor.

I am interested in joining the yearbook staff - which I can do by selecting the Journalism class as one of my electives.  I feel like I meet the following requirements.
By participating in this class, I recognize that I represent the school community and will represent my school in a positive manner. I understand that I expected to follow classroom and school policies and procedures (i.e. when out taking pictures students will be responsible to return to class after assignment is complete). If I receive a referral during the time I am in this class, I understand that depending on the nature of the referral I may not be able to continue to participate in the class (i.e. bullying, fighting, drug/alcohol use).
