BCCIC Webinar - GAC Approaches to Gender Equality (Jan 28)
Join us on Feb. 6 from 12.30 pm to 2 pm (PST) for a webinar on how to work with Global Affairs's Canada's gender equality approach and granting requirements. With the launch of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) in 2017, the Canadian Government and Global Affairs Canada (GAC) signalled their commitment to placing gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls at the heart of international cooperation. For international non-profits seeking to work with GAC it is essential to know how GAC understands, funds and works with gender equality initiatives and the expectations that they have in terms of impacts, program management and monitoring and evaluation. This webinar will provide an introduction to GAC approaches to gender equality for organizations already working with their own definitions and approaches to gender equality as well as for those seeking to incorporate this work into their programming for the first time.
