DISCIPLINES:

Students will learn basic knowledge of newsgathering and commercial production. In addition, they will turn concepts into fully-produced commercials and news stories.

ADMISSION FEE:

$175 (before May 29)

THE BROADCAST ACADEMY WILL COVER:

*Brainstorming ideas and storyboards

*Writing scripts that focus on the client’s products and services

*Story creation

*Interviewing

*Directing, video shooting, camera operation, composition,  and lighting

*Editing and graphics

Student groups will work with a goal of producing a 30-second public service announcement for a local non-profit organization and a news story that will air on our station.
