What are some activities you would like to see Kellogg plan for students and families in the future?

Read in: The whole school, including families, reads together during the school day (one or two periods)

Language Exchange: Parents join with other parents to practice speaking in another language.

Run for the Arts: Regional walkathon conducted by individual schools to raise money for educational arts programming. Students collect pledges and then run/walk around the Kellogg School block while parent volunteers help count laps and encourage the participants.

Poetry/Story Slam: A live poetry/storytelling competition.

Clean Up Day: Community Care event to join in cleaning up the school grounds.

Carnival: An evening of fun with games, slam dunk, food, hula hoop toss, scavenger hunt, and more.

Field Day: An active and fun day at the end of the school year. Stations are set up all over the field. Students move from station to station at their own discretion. Many parent volunteers make this fun and exciting day possible.

Lantern walk: Fall celebration where students make/decorate lanterns at school and then staff and families gather in a local park at dusk to walk around, socialize and enjoy the magical lighting.

Science Fair: An evening celebration of student work in Science. Students will spend weeks conducting their experiment, and then present their results at this event.

School Dances: Students enjoy great music, snacks and drinks while volunteer chaperones and Kellogg staff make sure everyone is having a good time in appropriate ways. Music and dancing, ping-pong, games, snacks and socializing.
