Call for Nominations: MDEA Board of Directors Positions
This form is used to nominate someone for a MDEA Board of Directors position.  You can nominate more than one person using more than one form.  You can also use this form for a self-nomination.

All nominated individuals will be notified via email of their nomination.  They will have the opportunity to accept or decline the nomination before a ballot is released in late August.

Position: Executive Board Member at Large
The Executive Board Member at Large (elected in the year when there is no President-Elect)
 - assist the President and perform such duties as may be assigned to them by the President or by the Board of Directors
 - assist with the planning of the annual convention and other events
 - develop and lead an initiative that supports the mission of the organization and aligns to an identified need
 - plan the NDEO Social, other committee work, and assist with Parliamentary Procedures

Term: November 1, 2022 -- October 31, 2023

Position: Board Member At Large
One would assume the role of the Member-at-Large from November 1, 2022 -- October 31, 2024.  Commitment would be a total of three years.  The board meets four times per year, every three months, January, April, July, and October.   Committee and special events meetings are separately scheduled as needed and appropriate.

Board Members are needed to represent the following Member-at-Large positions:
Graduate Student
Undergraduate Student
Community Organizations

Position: K-12 Administration Understudy
As an understudy, one would serve from November 1, 2022 – October 31, 2023 to learn the workings of the board, with required attendance at the full board January 2023 meeting, and other meetings as invited and as needed for representation of your constituency.  Understudies work closely with the Member-at-Large for a one year term.

Then, one would assume the role of the Member-at-Large from November 1, 2023 -- October 31, 2025.  Commitment would be a total of three years.  The board meets four times per year, every three months, January, April, July, and October. Understudies are invited but not required to attend the April, July, and October meetings but will not have voting privileges unless the member-at-large of the constituency is not in attendance.  Committee and special events meetings are separately scheduled as needed and appropriate.  Understudies are strongly encouraged to participate in the planning and implementation involved in these initiatives and join committees of interest and service.

Understudies are needed to represent the following Member-at-Large positions:
K-12 Administration


Term: November 1, 2022 -- October 31, 2023 followed by a 2-year term as a Member-at-Large.
