The Columbia Political Union (CPU) Civic Scholars Program is a six-week civics education program for motivated high school students who are passionate about government, politics, and civic engagement. The virtual program runs from March 3 to April 14, and class sessions are Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m. EST.

Each class will be led by one of CPU's Civic Fellows (all Columbia students), and will feature prominent guest speakers, including Columbia faculty, activists, and government officials.

Our curriculum is ideal for high school students who will be taking a Regents or AP U.S. History exam this year.

Sign-ups are due February 27th, 2021, at 11:59PM. Students will be notified of their acceptance on Sunday, February 28th. The program begins at 6:00PM ET on March 3rd, 2021.
