National Saturday Club Application Form 2022/23 (Art & Design OR Fashion & Business)
Arts University Plymouth are offering free places on the prestigious National Saturday Club (NSC). We are looking for dedicated, passionate young people aged 14-16 years who are the young artists and designers of the future. We are especially looking for people who are interested in future creative studies or a career in the Creative Industries in the future.

You will study a range of art, craft, design and media disciplines or fashion, textiles and marketing, and you will develop your skills further by designing and making items for sale, or teaching an art skill to younger child or friend. Students will be rewarded with a Summer Show exhibition in London, a masterclass with a UK designer or artist, and to become part of this exciting national initiative known as The Saturday Club Trust which extends to over 70 clubs around the UK. More info about the clubs nationally can be found here https://saturday-club.org/

Important
You must be aged between 14-16 years on 1st September 2022, as the Plymouth clubs are for those who are, or would be in school years 10 or 11 (we would consider those who would be in year 12 if they are not studying art full time).

All sections of this form should be completed by a parent/guardian/school except the Personal Statement section which must be completed (or dictated) by the young person in their own words.

In the personal statement the young person should write a paragraph or two about why they are applying or what they hope to gain from the course. We will use this statement to select students.

We are accepting applications NOW for a November 2022 start. The first session will be an online welcome and introduction to the course, and in-person studio based sessions will start the following week. If any spaces are left we will continue to recruit until at maximum capacity.

The course runs on a Saturday morning from 10.30am - 12.30pm during term time (times vary occasionally) and sessions will be mainly in our studios at Palace Court with a few sessions online, or on location.
