Plot Summary:
An updated revival of a favorite classic. With a perfect combination of street-smarts and optimism, Annie warms the hearts of the audience as we witness her rise from next to nothing in New York City. She is determined to find her parents, who left her at the orphanage years ago. Though things don’t quite work out the way she has planned, she does manage to thwart the plans of the evil Miss Hannigan and find a new family with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his secretary Grace Farrell, and her lovable pooch, Sandy.

Character Casting Breakdown (AGES 7-18 YEARS)

Annie
A street-wise orphan; she is eventually taken in by Oliver Warbucks. Spunky, friendly, big-voiced.

Warbucks
A successful business owner with a warm heart. Rich, stiff-collared, bullish.

Grace Farrell
Faithful secretary to Mr. Oliver Warbucks. Poised, sweet, gentle.

Orphans: Female or Male

Duffy: Oldest of the orphans (age 13-14)
July: Quietest of the orphans (age 11-14)
Pepper: Toughest of the orphans (age 10-12)
Tessy: Worrier of the orphans (8-10)
Kate: Next to smallest of orphans (7-9)
Molly: Youngest and smallest of orphans (7-9)

Servants
Age: 12+
The servants at the Warbucks mansion. Includes Drake, Mrs. Pugh, Mrs. Greer, Cecille, and Annette.
Gender: Any

Star(s)-To-Be  
Age (7-14)
Star(s) to Be is a glamorous diva in the number "N.Y.C." This may be given
to 2 or 3 girls who will split the singing solos between them.

Lt. Ward
Age 11+
Lt. Ward is the policeman who questions Annie about Sandy, the stray dog.
This is a great role for someone who can play an authoritative adult.

Miss Hannigan
Age: 13+
The orphanage matron who hates children but is fond of liquor. Very disillusioned, bitter, and cold.
Gender: Female

Rooster
Age: 10+
Miss Hannigan's no-good brother looking for a quick buck. A sleazy, slick con man.
Gender: Male or Female

Lily
Age: 10+
Rooster's girlfriend, who is also out for a quick buck. She is considered to be a floozy and bimbo.

Bert Healy
Age: 10+
The ultimate radio personality. He helps Annie by broadcasting about the search for her birth parents.
Gender: Male or Female

Roosevelt
Age: 10+
The 32nd President of the United States. A Democrat and friend of Warbucks.

Audition FAQs
Q: What should my performer and I bring to the initial audition?
A:  Your performer may bring a pre-recorded backing audio track to use when singing her/his initial audition song
 Your performer should wear clothing and shoes that are comfortable for dancing. (Wearing soft jazz dance shoes is optional during auditions.)

Q: What will happen during the audition?
A: Audition may be about 2-3hours. Please arrive 15 minutes before 11am start time. You will review and sign your audition form
Performers will recite a short monologue from the script provided.
Performers in the audition group will then learn a dance combination .  

Q: Does my performer need to bring musical accompaniment to the initial audition?
A: Performers can sing an initial audition song either a capella or to a pre-recorded backing audio track, whichever method they prefer.
