Co-operative Team Application-High School / Candidature en équipe coopérative- Lycée
The SSNS supports schools with High School Populations that do not have enough student population to field a team in one of the specified sports. Both schools must have a High School population less than the prescribed number depending on the sport. The combined student populations will determine which division they will be placed in for competition.
Rule 3.7:
3.7 Co-operative Teams:
The SSNS allows two member schools that do not have enough student populations to field a team in one of the SSNS team sports (baseball, soccer, football, hockey, basketball, slo-pitch, rugby, volleyball) to apply for a Co-operative Team:
3.7.1 The Co-operative Team must be applied for annually for approval.
3.7.2 Deadline for Co-operative team application is the declaration date set out by SSNS office.
3.7.3 The Co-operative Team must be approved by both Principals. One school may apply and the Director will contact Principals from both schools for final approval.
3.7.4 Co-operative Teams in Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, Rugby, Softball, and Volleyball: Both schools must have a population of less than 250 senior high school students and the combined student populations will determine which division the team is placed for competition.
3.7.5 Co-operative Teams in Football may apply to the Director for consideration. No school with a population of over 600 senior high school students will be considered for Co-operative Teams.
NOTE: COOPERATIVE TEAMS MUST BE APPLIED FOR PRIOR TO DECLARATION DATE FOR THAT SPORT.
