- Annual tuition: $324 - You may pay in a lump sum for the school year or apply for a payment plan through the Timothy Foundation office. This tuition covers the cost of all materials, supplies and curriculum for the year. The first payment is due before the start of classes.
Program:
- Each student's program is tailored to their individual needs.
- Prior to the start of classes, each student will complete a math and reading assessment to determine their level of placement in those classes.
- Each student must also submit official transcripts from the last school attended to the Adult Education Office so that an individual degree plan can be developed.
- Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30pm and many Wednesdays from 6:30-9:30pm, depending on the needs of the student.
Policies:
Identity - All students must
provide a valid photo ID and a birth certificate to be enrolled in
classes.
Attendance - There is an 80%
attendance requirement. If a student fails to meet the attendance
requirement during any month, they will be placed on probation for the
following month. If the student fails to meet the attendance requirement a
second month, they will be referred to our Director of Adult Education to
determine eligibility for retention in the program. LACK OF ATTENDANCE
DOES NOT ELIMINATE FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT MONTH.
Curriculum - Your diploma will be
conferred by Westwood Baptist Academy. While we have significant latitude
in our programs, all students are required to take one class with
the SEMO Bible Institute at Westwood Baptist Church for each semester that
they are enrolled in classes. This constitutes the Wednesday night slot
and there is no additional fee for this class.
From time to time, students may be given the opportunity to complete
their diploma more quickly by participating in learning opportunities outside
of normal class times. This could include independent learning projects,
participation in physical education or musical performance, or public speaking
opportunities. These are separate from the normal class time.
Age of attendance - The minimum
age of attendance for this program is 18 years of age by the start of
classes.
Academic Honesty - The Timothy
Foundation defines academic integrity as the pursuit of scholarly activity
in an open, honest, and responsible manner. All students should act
with personal integrity, respect the dignity, rights and property of other
students and teachers, and help create and maintain an environment in
which all can succeed through the fruits of their efforts.
Dishonesty will not be tolerated in
this course. This includes, but is not limited to, cheating, plagiarizing,
fabricating information, or citations, facilitating acts of academic dishonesty
by others, having unauthorized possession of examinations, submitting work of
another person or work previously used without informing the instructor, or
tampering with the academic work of other students. Students who are found
to be dishonest will receive academic sanctions, such as an “F” grade on the
assignment, exam, and/or in the course. They will also be reported to the
Director of Adult Education for possible further disciplinary action.
Non-Discrimination
Policy - The Timothy Foundation admits students of any race, color,
national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and
activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
It does not discriminate based on race, color, national, or ethnic origin
in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies,
scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and
other school-administered programs.
