Meet our hero! His name is Sergio, and this is his story: He doesn’t care for women as he only cares about his family and his position as the underboss. Ever since his sister died he takes his job very seriously and doesn’t care who suffers because of it. He’s not opposed to the arranged marriage since Fallon is beautiful, but he doesn’t like how headstrong she is and isn’t a fan of having to keep track of a woman—especially one that somehow manages to keep finding herself in harm’s way. But eventually, Fallon starts to soften his heart and he admires her strength and is intrigued by her innocence. He also finds himself tempted by the discovery that she has a bit of a darker, rebellious side herself. What do you think of Sergio as our main character? *

Meet our heroine! Her name is Fallon, and this is her story: It’s just Fallon and her dad; her mother died when she was too small to remember. Her dad is a crooked cop in queens who takes bribes from the crime families. When he “accidentally” accepts a bribe from a rival Nova mafia family, Sergio's family wants a token of loyalty from the police chief in the form of an arranged marriage. Sergio will marry Fallon, thus securing a loyalty between the cops in Queens and Sergio's family. Fallon gets wrapped up in the mafia scene, hates Sergio, and is tempted to run away and leave her vet practice and her father behind in order to get away from it all. But then, the unthinkable happens—she starts to fall in love with Sergio. What do you think of Fallon as our main character? *
