6th Annual NSF GRFP Peer Review Workshop
Date/Time/Location: Friday, October 11th from 2 PM - 4 PM in Kenan Science Library

Description: We will pair applicants with past NSF GRFP winners/fellows for a one-on-one peer-review session. Please bring 2-3 copies of your current personal and/or research statement with you so we can pair you up multiple times. You will get personalized feedback from at least one, hopefully multiple, reviewers - both in and out of your specific discipline. We will also have many examples of past winning statements available for you to look at/learn from.

History: This event is run by the Materials Research Society (MRS) at UNC. This will be the sixth time we have run this event. We began doing this just in the chemistry department, but have more recently tried to grow to include all departments who can apply to the NSF GRFP. We have had over 2 dozen participants go on to win the NSF GRFP, which equates to a ~20% hit rate! We hope that this can provide you with the resources for you to succeed!

If you have any questions, please email Jeromy Rech, MRS president, at jeromy@live.unc.edu.
