UF NanoDay 2020 - Poster-Pitch Video Upload
Thank you for contributing to UF NanoDay 2020! We hope you will encourage your peers and colleagues to participate in this annual celebration of UF nanoscale science, engineering, and technology (NSET) research activities and resources.

If you have already submitted an abstract and the poster image file, please upload your poster-pitch video link with this form by Wednesday, September 30, 2020. We ask that you upload to YouTube a video of you pitching your poster (less than 3 minutes). We suggest that you dress in business/professional attire and be mindful of your backdrop. Once we have all of your information, we will create a page just for you with your title, name, headshot, faculty mentor’s name, abstract, your video (<3 min), and an image of your poster.  There will also be an interactive comments section that will allow visitors to the page to ask questions.

The following information can be useful when preparing your video:

Here is an example of conciseness while still providing all the necessary information. For your presentation it is not necessary to cover all the small details, if someone wants to know those, they can ask a question in the comments. Instead focus on the bigger picture of your research, results, and conclusions. Think of this video as a normal presentation of material, only recorded and with a time limit. Cover the important topics of your research and get your point across

For recording your presentation, you do not need to print your poster and have it with you, however you can still reference it as it will be visible for the audience. For groups that may not be able to record together in person it is acceptable to record a conference call. Once the presentation is recorded please upload it to YouTube on your own account, make the video public or unlisted depending on preference, and send us the link to your video to post on your page. Below is information on how to upload.

Just a quick reminder that poster presentations and Q&A will take place online via zoom, with each poster in their own dedicated zoom room during the afternoon of October 9th. The poster session will be split into two parts, so that the poster presenters can see many of the other posters.  Specifically, during the first poster session half the poster presenters will be able to view and ask questions about the other half of the posters.  In the second poster session the roles will be reversed.  We ask that all poster presenters be present in their zoom room for their entire session as it may take time for visitors to work their way from poster to poster.

For this virtual event we request that all posters have a short (2-3 min) video during which you quickly pitch your poster so that others can decide if they would like to come to your zoom room to ask questions and learn more. Suggestions for how to create and upload the video to youtube will be in the NanoDay 2020 webpage.  Please paste the public link to your video below.
