Dragonfest 2024 - Volunteer Form

This years retreat is July 31st - 4th 2024. The retreat officially starts on the 31st, however staff who are on setup crew need to be in attendance on Monday for setup. All other staff need to be on the land by Tuesday at 5pm.

The follow this link is of all of the available positions with their descriptions. Please read the descriptions carefully so you can make an informed preferences (below). 

The Dragonfest Staff is made up of lead and support roles. The lead roles are department heads or coordinators. Support staff are lieutenants who provide help to the department heads or coordinator before, during and in some cases after the retreat. These positions require less work then department heads but are just as vital to ensuring a good festival.

Please read the following information carefully, and then enter your personal information into the form below, so that we can build our database of volunteers.  We wipe out the database every year, so even if you have worked as a volunteer in past years, please re-enter your information. Thanks so much!

OPS will make the final determinations of directions, coordinators and lieutenants. So please let us know your skill and/or 2 preferred positions.

Staff Meeting Dates are as follows:
* All Meetings will be held in a Hybrid format via Google Meet. If you feel unwell with something that may be contagious please attend remotely.

Are you 18 years of age or older? If you are under 18, you will be required to have a parent or guardian attend Dragonfest with you, and they must agree to the time commitments for both the event and meetings. Please have them fill out this form and under position fill in "parental Guardian of <your name>". If they are also volunteering for Dragonfest, they can put that in the field after their requested position.

Dragonfest Volunteer Time Commitment: We expect volunteers to attend as many of the monthly meetings (January - July) as they can or communicate with their department head to stay up on event information. We understand some people work weekends. The July 30th meeting on the land is a mandatory meeting. Volunteers are required to attend the entire retreat, and may be required, based on their position, to be present  before the retreat and/or after the retreat as well.
