Thank you so much for your support for Spring Forward! As a member of the fight against the climate crisis and a citizen of an ever evolving and highly politicized society, we realize that you have probably heard buzzwords such as the “Green New Deal” in the mainstream media often, especially within the last year. Seeing as many, including us teenagers, are often confused on what exactly federal climate legislation, such as the Green New Deal, entails, we are facilitating a systemic change lesson for adults.

While Spring Forward is primarily focused on educating the youth, we realized that adults will benefit from climate education as well. This workshop will answer the following questions:

1. What is the Green New Deal and what does it include?
2. What is the Red Deal?
3. What are actions to push systemic change? Why is this important?
4. How are minority and historically marginalized populations disproportionately affected by the climate crisis?
5. What actions can you take, as adults, that will make a difference?
