This class is for queer and transgender people and allies. How do you identify? *

How did you hear about this class? (Ex. My friend Mary Smith, Yelp, a flyer at Peet's Cafe...) *

This beginning songwriting class welcomes people who are totally new to songwriting and folks who have written songs before. What experience do you have with songwriting, if any? Do you have other creative writing experience? *

For this class it is recommend (but not required) that you be able to sing a simple song and play an instrument at the same time, or create your own beats/backing tracks. What instrument(s) and/or software will you be using to make music, if any? *

What access needs or requests you would like me to be aware of? (Ex. neurodivergence, physical disabilities, learning needs)

Classes will be: April 20, April 27, May 4, May 11, May 18, May 25, June 1, June 8, June 15. On June 15 we will also have an online recital. I ask that you do your best to miss no more than two classes. Each class will be recorded so you can watch it later if you are absent. What, if any, dates do you know that you will have to miss?

The class fee is on a sliding scale, and payment is due in two installments: a 50% deposit when you register, and 50% on the first day. The true cost of the class is $350. If you choose a rate below that, you are receiving a discount. If you choose a higher rate, you are helping make the class accessible to low income participants. Please select your rate for this class according to an honest assessment of your financial situation: *

Payer Forward: $350 (Unlimited Spots) - ***Please Note: This is the minimum level I need most people to choose in order to cover my expenses and pay myself a living wage. Consider paying at this level if one or more of the following apply: You sometimes stress about meeting basic needs but still regularly achieve them, are able to buy some new items and thrift others, can travel every couple/few years without burden, have some debt but it does not prevent access to basic needs/wants.

Redistributor: $450 (Unlimited Spots) - Consider paying at this level if one or more of the following apply: You are comfortably able to meet your basic needs, own a newer car and/or a home or rent a higher end property, have access to financial savings, have reliable work or do not need to work to meet your needs, have investments, can afford to travel every year, have expendable income.

Sustainer: $250 (2 of 3 Spots Open) - Consider paying at this level if one or more of the following apply: You have very limited expendable income, are unemployed or have unstable employment but are still able to meet basic needs, have little or no access to savings or financial support from family, have higher debt that requires some sacrifices on needs/wants.

Pay What You Can: $100 - $200 (1 of 2 Spots Open) - Two pay-what-you-can spots are available in this class. Priority is given to folks who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color, trans women and trans femmes, people raised working class or poor, and people with disabilities. Please consider this option only if you struggle to meet your basic needs and paying would be a significant hardship.
