In Luke's Gospel, Jesus is the herald of the Good News that God loves us all very much.  His mission, as he expresses it at the beginning of Luke's Gospel, is to bring sight to the blind, liberty to captives, and freedom to the oppressed.  In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus fulfills this mission even as he is dying on the Cross.

Watch the video below and discuss the questions as a family.
This weekend is the Solemnity of Jesus Christ the King.  When you think of a king what do you picture? *
Thinking about the vision you have above about what a king is, how does Jesus fit this description?  How is he different? *
Lastly, Jesus is known as the Servant King.  Why is this important to us?  (Jesus lead by example.  Unlike other kings that just give orders, Jesus himself serves his disciples.  He does what he expects others to do - leading by example.) *
This week's Eucharistic Reflection talks about making room for Jesus is your life.  What are the things that are of this world that keep you from letting Jesus into your life?  How can you work to be less preoccupied with worldly things and make more time for Jesus? *
