SCOPE - The student-led Conference on Polar Environment is happening at UNIS!
As Svalbardian you can join our public day the 14th of October at UNIS!
SCOPE (Student-led Conference On Polar Environments) will be held for
the third time this year and will take place 13 – 14 October at the
University Centre. SCOPE is a conference where students
(bachelor/master/PhD) have the opportunity to present their group work, research, thesis and/or
project work in a low-pressure environment and practice the skill of
presenting. We welcome all locals to be part of our student conference and support students with showing interest in their research.
During the conference there will be presentations, posters, and time for
networking with other students and people interested in science.
SCOPE is funded
this year by bioCEED - Centre for Excellence in Biology Education,
iEarth, Svalbox and APECS Norway.
In this registration, we ask whether you are participating in person, enjoying a full day of inspiring talks, exchange with students from UNIS and Longyearbyen as a whole PLUS benefit from the delicious food that will be available throughout the conference day.
We wish you a nice time at the conference!
If you have any questions regarding the conference or the registration process, we'll happily help you. Just contact us via
