Application Form: Spring 2024 New Member Community Cohort

This is the application to be a member of the Spring 2024 New Member Community Cohort, hosted by Metro DC DSA. The cohort will take part in a weekly 4 week training ~mid March through ~mid April, featuring 3 organizing or education modules and a dedicated social outing. We are looking for emerging Metro DC DSA members or allies who would like to be part of a cohort with like-minded people, want to learn basics of organizing and socialism, and who want to use this training to organize in the future. Apply before March 12th!

The Cohort will be 15-25 people and will encourage members to connect with each other to build social bonds and about their purpose for trying to create a better world. It will start with an online module on organizing, then have 3 consecutive weeks of in-person trainings or meet-ups -including a module on What Is Socialism, a social event, and an event on Metro DC DSA and its internal democracy. It will conclude with a graduation and will feature some Chapter or cohort-specific swag as a takeaway...
