Dear Firefighter Basic Applicant,

The Illinois State Fire Marshal Basic Operations Firefighter requires completion of the following modules:
• Firefighter Basic Module A-B-C
• Fire Service Vehicle Operator (FSVO)
• Technical Rescue Awareness (TRA)
• Courage To Be Safe (CTBS)
• Hazardous Materials Operations**
• CPR/First Aid*
• NIMS 100 and 700*

CPR/First Aid and NIMS 100 and 700 will not be offered as part of the Basic Operations Firefighter. Your department will be required to conduct the four sessions.

After the completion of Modules A-B-C, FSVO, TRA and CTBS we will discuss offering Hazardous Materials Operations. We believe it may be cheaper if you attend one of the regional IFSI Hazardous Materials Operations sessions.

Max Fire Training, Inc. will provide all books and learning material necessary for each module. Each session will include lecture and hands on learning.

Payment for Firefighter Basic is required 30 days from when invoice is sent.

This program will start on September 26th at 6:00 PM. During this session we will select dates of future sessions to assure the schedule will meet the needs of the 20 students enrolled.
