Ride with Seattle Pedaling Relief Project on Saturdays from 11am to 2pm to help support families in the Rainier Valley who are experiencing food insecurity!
We are looking for six volunteers who are interested in fighting food insecurity in their community while also riding their bikes in the Rainier Valley! We will be doing this by riding out from the Rainier Valley Food Bank to restock 10 Little Free Pantries that are in the surrounding neighborhoods. These community 24hour pantries offer a zero-barrier access point to food to help fill the gaps in the food system. They support neighbors who are facing food insecurity while building micro-communities. This is a very low contact volunteer opportunity as the only person who you will need to regularly work with is the coordinator at the food bank and this is a great way to just be able to get out and explore your community by bike!
Each panty restocking kits will weigh 18 to 20 pounds.
If you have any questions or run into any issues signing up please contact Maxwell at
