Emma B. Ward Elementary has a vacant parent position on our School Based Decision Making (SBDM) council. This is for a 2-year SBDM position that will serve during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years. The following candidates have been nominated to serve on our council, please choose only one. Thank you for helping staff our SBDM council for the 2024-2025 school year! Voting will close at 3:30pm on Monday, May 20th.

Alane Foley: I am the parent of 4 children, my youngest will be going into the 3rd grade at EBW. I serve as the Executive Director of a non-profit foundation, Bleeding Disorders of Kentucky. Serving my family and community is my priority. I have served on SBDM at EBW in the past and would be honored to serve again. Together we can foster a supportive environment in which our children can learn and grow. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Steven Dobey: I am the proud parent of an Anderson County child who has spent each academic year in our local school system. I have served as a Parent Representative for Site-Based Decision Making Council (SBDM) at Emma B. Ward since 2022, and Sparrow Early Childhood Center for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 academic years. In addition, I have gladly served on the Anderson County Schools Long-Range Planning Committee in 2020 and during the current 2024 cycle, and served as Treasurer for the Emma B. Ward PTO since 2022. I hope to continue offering valuable insight to SBDM and serving our community, as well as our students!
