Has your child had swimming lessons before? *
If yes what's the highest stage or level have they completed so far?
Do you take your child swimming regularly? *
Can your child blow bubbles into the water? *
Can your child float on their back or front? *
Is your child comfortable wearing goggles? *
Can your child retrieve an object underwater? *
Can your child push off the wall with their face in the water (important!) in a streamlined position on the front with their arms by side or extended and kick for 5 metres with or without a floatation aid… *
Can your child push off the wall in a streamlined position with their arms by side or extended and kick and rotate front to back and back to front for 10 metres without a floatation aid… *
Can you child push and glide into the kicking for 10m on their front or back… *
Can your child swim front crawl with arms recovering over the top of the water with their face in for 10m? *
Can your child swim two strokes for 15 metres or more with reasonable techniques on their front or back without equipment? *
Can you child tread water for 30 seconds AND swim 10m any stroke with reasonable technique? *
Can your child swim 20-25m without stopping on their front/front crawl? *
Can your child swim 25m or more in three different strokes with correct breathing technique and timing i.e. front crawl: To both sides and keeping head horizontal; backstroke - continually inhaling & exhaling while rotating in a horizontal position; breastroke - in time with the arm pull with head in the water to exhale *
Can you child swim all 4 strokes for a minumum of 25m each AND 50m continuously in one stroke with correct technique and breathing pattern? *
Does your child need any special assistance or have any diagnosis we should be aware of? If yes please provide details....
