St James' Catholic School Catholic special character external evaluation - family/whānau questionnaire
Dear St James' Catholic School family/whānau

We are from the Diocese of Palmerston North Catholic Education Office and we are working with the St James' Catholic School community to develop a picture of the impact this school is having on you and your child/children.

Your voice is important to us, so we invite to share your reflections on the questions below.

Many thanks

Year level of your child/children *
Why did you choose a Catholic education for your child/children? *
All schools aim to provide the highest standards of achievement to tamariki. For our Catholic schools there is an additional goal.  The goal of a Catholic school, within a cultural context, is to:
*  encourage young people to develop a connection with Jesus
*  support young people to grow in knowledge about Jesus and the Church
*  to be a community where we live out the Gospel messages through words and actions.
What impact is this relationship with Jesus having on your child/children?  (What do you see or hear?) *
Catholic special character evaluation is about celebrating strengths and supporting schools in areas of growth (if necessary).                  Thinking about the goal of a Catholic school, what would you identify as strengths of St James' Catholic School? *
What would you identify as opportunities for development for St James' Catholic School in terms of the goal of a Catholic school? *
Any other comments.
Thank you for your contribution. If you would like the opportunity to meet with Pauline Balm (PNCEO Evaluation for Development Advisor) as part of a parent group, please contact the school.
