Jayzoq is a student-run magazine designed to critically analyze business, politics, history, and international affairs; simply said, a diary of the affairs of the world. Together with other youth members of our generation, we aim to strive for ethical journalism at its finest, and inspection over the pitfalls of multinational corporations, the leaders in trade, and issues that suffocate the planet, and beyond.
We are looking for recruits to join us in our venture, and will be entertaining volunteers who, themselves, will be faced with unique opportunities to polish their skills, develop a lasting network of communications, immerse themselves in a professional working environment, not to mention a head start in their respective walks of life.
Listed below are details of the openings that we are offering. Please note that all selections will be made on a merit basis, after a thorough scrutiny of applicants’ skill set and characteristics and whether they are in rhythm with the ethics of Jayzoq. It is also worth mentioning that all ideas from anyone who bears the embalm of Jayzoq will be entertained regardless of the respective post they occupy.
1) Creative Department
a)
Designing posts and content for Jayzoq’s social media handles.
b)
Coordinating with the rest of the Departments on what content to form.
c)
Positions offered:
i) Creative Team (Finding cover photos for Articles)
ii) Designers
iii) Senior Design Artist
2) Marketing Department whose duties include:
a)
Creating an overarching image which represents our brand in a positive light.
b)
Coming up and implementing strategies which will increase our engagement on social media by creating an engaging audience.
c)
The positions available are;
i)
Marketing Team
3) Communications Department which will be responsible for:
a)
Managing the official website and social media handles for Jayzoq,
b)
Corresponding with the Director of Website Development,
c)
Engaging the audience on social media handles,
d)
Positions offered:
i.
Communications Director
ii. Publications Team
iii.
Communications Team
iv) Advisor to the Communications Director
v) Social Media Managers (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) Individuals for each platform
4) Website Development Department; the tasks which fall upon this group of people are:
a)
This is an exclusive department which will cater to the development of the official website where the monthly issues will be published using any website creating platform (WordPress).
b)
Working directly with the Communications, Marketing and the Creative Department to create the official website.
c)
Openings in this department include;
i.
Director for Information Technology
ii.
Website Development Team
5) HR Department:
a) The HR Department would be responsible for recruiting, screening and placing members (Reviewing Applications)
b) Develop and manage Jayzoq's culture
