¡Teatro Kids! Intro to Bilingual Storytelling w/ Masks & Puppets
This FREE 8-week bilingual introduction to theater for youth ages 7-12 culminates in a performance of Dancing With the Bomba Drums by Dr. Raquel Ortiz.

In this series of fun, interactive workshops kids will be introduced to acting, script reading, creative movement, theater (especially theater in Latin America), making Cabezudo masks, Bomba music and dance, and the process of turning a book into a script for a play.

Workshops and activities will take place at Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center (2800 Archwood Ave.) and at  Brooklyn Branch Library (3706 Pearl Rd.)

¡Teatro Kids!: Introducción a la narración bilingüe con máscaras y títeres

Esta introducción bilingüe GRATUITA al teatro, de 8 semanas de duración, para jóvenes de 7 a 12 años, culmina con una presentación de "Dancing With the Bomba Drums" por la Dra. Raquel Ortiz.

En esta serie de divertidos talleres interactivos, los niños serán introducidos a la actuación, la lectura de guiones, el movimiento creativo, el teatro (especialmente el teatro en América Latina), la elaboración de máscaras de Cabezudo, la música y danza Bomba, y el proceso de convertir un libro en un guión para una obra de teatro.

Los talleres y actividades se llevarán a cabo en Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center (2800 Archwood Ave.) y en la Biblioteca de la Sucursal de Brooklyn (3706 Pearl Rd.).
