Learn how to play Pickleball
Pickleball is America's fastest growing sport! The game got its start in 1965 on a badminton court near Seattle, Washington. Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net. The sport shares features of other racket sports: the dimensions and layout of a badminton court and also has some unique rules of its own. Players will learn rules like:
1) the non-volley zone (aka "the kitchen"),
2) the underhand serve or new drop serve, and
3) the double bounce rule.
4) how to keep score

The North Whidbey Pool, Park, and Recreation District will teach players basic skills, rules, and give players the opportunity to scrimmage each other in a fun learning environment.

This is a great sport that can be played with multi-generational families and friends.
