Maluk Timor Elective Application 2019
The Maluk Timor elective is a new elective with TIME that runs from mid-November to mid-December, 2019. Maluk Timor aims to address not only primary health concerns, but to also improve the overall health care system in Timor-Leste. Maluk Timor has 9 project streams to tackle its major health challenges: rheumatic heart disease, tuberculosis, HIV, maternal and child nutrition, infectious disease, women's health and well-being, oral health, support for doctors, and support for nurses. Through experience in these streams, students will gain a greater understanding of not only primary care in developing communities, but also public health strategies.
