Underclassmen Student Council Application
We are so glad that you want to be a part of an active and influential organization at Davidson High School! Student Council takes a great deal of time, energy, and dedication. Please read through the following information thoroughly and complete by Friday, March 24th, 2023.

Student Council Members are accepted based on the following criteria:
1. Application (this Google Form)
2. Three Teacher Recommendations
3. GPA

Student Council Roles:

CLASS PRESIDENT** (Class President applications will be completed separately once accepted into Student Council)
• Conduct and chair Student Council meetings
• Prepare and copy agendas for each meeting
• Coordinates the work of committees
• Maintain frequent contact with faculty advisors and administration
• Will also need to send a professional cover letter, receive an endorsement from teacher/staff member or peers, and a 1-2 minute video that will be shown to peers on why you want to be class president

CLASS VICE PRESIDENT** (Vice President applications will be completed separately once accepted into Student Council)
• Take over presidential duties in absence of president
•      Assist in the coordination work of committees
• Take attendance and minutes during meetings and events
• Maintain frequent contact with faculty advisors and administration
• Will also need to send a professional cover letter, receive an endorsement from teacher/staff member or peers, and a 1-2 minute video that will be shown to peers on why you want to be class president

GENERAL MEMBER
• Involved within your class and Student Council duties
• Will be assigned to different sub committees throughout the year
• Will aid in any class projects/volunteer opportunities
• Will attend meetings and events

If I am accepted into Hilliard Davidson Student Council, I understand the respect and time commitment required.  This includes: • Attending all morning meetings from 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM • Arriving on time for meeting and obligations • Serving as a resource for my peers and community • Fulfilling my obligations including Homecoming, Volunteering, and Class Events • Treating my peers and advisors with respect. If I am unable to attend meetings, follow the above rules, or meet obligations, I understand that I will be asked to step down as a member of Student Council. *
