DANCE CLASSES
-For all Dance Classes featuring a "Beginning" or "Intermediate/Advanced" designation in the title, please sign up your student for the class you feel they belong in, but if we need to make a change, we will place the students in a different dance level if their ability is noticeably beyond or below the other enrolled students in that class. This is not to separate good dancers from bad dancers, or an A Team from a B Team. This is to put our students in a class level that is appropriate for them to learn and the teachers to teach. One semester of "Beginning" does not qualify you for being in the Intermediate class, the next semester. It takes TIME, for the body to adapt to dancing. If the appropriate level does not fit with your schedule, we also offer private dance lessons.
101 DALMATIANS KIDS 5-6:00 TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS - Ages 5-10 - Studio 1301 - DIRECTED BY FAITH MELTON SIGN UP AT THIS LINK:
https://forms.gle/PJED1U8CyTzu6kwA6- Every student in this class will be cast in our production of the half hour musical, 101 DALMATIANS, performing May 1st and 2nd onstage at the Opera House! With the first Tuesday being comprised of auditions to determine which class members will be playing which parts, we will cover everything from casting through performance! With the fast moving nature of this class, we need to enforce a somewhat stricter attendance policy than other classes. If a student misses more than once their position in the cast will be in jeopardy. This class will culminate in 2 full blown performances, and we need every cast member present to ensure quality. Emergencies do happen, we need to specify that is not what we are referring to. We simply need to ensure that attendance becomes a priority so that the quality of the play does not suffer due to students being habitually absent. As to the age restriction of this class, we will be offering a very similar performance class for our older students in the fall, and we want to give performances opportunities to each age group. If registration/sign ups for this class do not reach the numbers necessary for casting, we will open it up to slightly older students.
