HackManchester Junior Volunteers/Mentors 2023 
Please let us know if you are happy to volunteer to help us deliver HackManchester Junior 2023.

The event will take place at the Bright Building on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th October.

Saturday
1000h - attendees arrive register & mingle
1030h - opening intros
1045h - hacking begins
1500 - close for day one

Sunday 
1000h - open for day two
1445h - hacking ends/judges choose the winners
1500h - awards show begins
1530h - event ends

We need help... 
Setting up on Friday 27th October from about 4pm for a few hours 
Setting up on the morning of Saturday 28th October from 8am until the event opens at 10am
Closing down the event on Sunday 29th October from 3:30pm until 5pm

We need support...
Running the operations side, e.g. registration, getting lunch ready, keeping the venue safe and tidy
Mentoring and supporting the attendees with their coding and problem solving

We provide lunch on both days.

If you are not DBS checked you can create a STEM Ambassador account using the link below. You will complete some online training and they will complete a free DBS check for you so you can volunteer and support young people in STEM activities :)

What coding experience do you have? Please let us know if you have used Scratch, Raspberry Pi, Micro:bit, Python, VB, Java, C#, PHP or any other language/framework. FYI Python & VB as this is the most popular language used by our hack attendees. *
