2020 Safe Schools, Safe Communities Workshop Proposal
Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2020 Safe Schools, Safe Communities: State Conference on LGBTQ+ Youth (SSSC20). This year's conference will be held March 16, 2020. GSAFE is pleased to partner with Madison College to present this year's gathering.

Workshops are 60 minutes in length.  Presenters are invited to attend SSSC19 at no charge. Priority will be given to workshops that specifically address issues related to the safety, inclusion, and health needs of LGBTQ+ youth of color, transgender youth, and nonbinary youth.

SSSC20 seeks to bring together K-12 educators and staff, youth workers, counselors, administrators, social workers, parents, middle school and high school student leaders, university students, healthcare professionals, community health workers, police and juvenile detention employees, social service workers, youth workers, community leaders, faith leaders, and those who seek to support LGBTQ+ youth now and in the future to share and learn best practices in addressing the health and educational disparities faced by LGBTQ+ youth.

While the primary conference audience is adults who work with and care about LGBTQ+ youth, the audience will include youth delegates from school and community groups.  All workshops will be open to youth participants.  As in previous years, there will be an additional youth-only track of workshops.  Youth-led proposals are welcome and encouraged!
