Pre-Pharmacy Society Extended E-Board Application
The Pre-Pharmacy E-Board for the 2021-2022 school year is still accepting applications for those who would like to run. As a reminder, to run for President and Vice-President, the person has ideally been an active member for at least a year. For all other positions, the person has ideally been an active member for at least a semester. Some of the key duties for each position are listed below:
President
-Organize board and club meetings as well as registering the club
-Coordinate with and delegating working amongst all board members
-Work with board members to make final executive and financial decisions
-Use good oral and written communication skills
-Ensure all aspects of the club functions smoothly, effectively, and efficiently
Vice-President
-Help the president run meetings
-Help delegate tasks
-Become the substitute President if needed
-Is expected to be one of the first people to help any board member in any task
-Create membership application forms, sign-up sheets, sign-in sheets, etc.
Secretary
-Keep track of attendance of a large number of members to make sure members meet the attendance quota
-Update the email list server
-Collect attendance sheets from meetings, fundraisers, and community service events
-Keep track of the minutes for board meetings
-Must be organized and attentive to details
-Be able to send reminder emails at least twice a week about the weekly events
Treasurer
-Maintains all the finances within the club but also has other roles such as:
-Making deposits and withdrawing money when the club needs to
-Reimbursing the officers or members for any money they spend on the club
-Being responsible for all fundraisers, both raising money for non-profit organizations and raising money for
the club.
Public Relations
-Advertises Pre-Pharmacy Society to the campus by:
-Forming fliers and posting them
-Photographing events, meetings, and service opportunities
-Assisting the Secretary in maintaining the website/Facebook
Events Committee
-Obtain guest speakers (preferable professionals from various aspects of the pharmacy field)
-Find local community service activities for the club (i.e. feeding the homeless, helping underprivileged children, etc.)
-Network and partner with other student organizations on programs
-Schedule events as well as emailing reminders to guest speakers and sending them thank you letters
