Thank you for your interest in our SUMMER CAMP! Now in
our 4th year, Q&R Board Game Adventure Summer Camp is an in-person,
Philadelphia-based program focused on playing, designing, and learning
about board games, card games, and role playing games in a fun and
interactive way. Summer Camp takes place at The Keep at Queen & Rook
Game Cafe, 613 S 2nd Street, in Queen Village, right off Head House
Square. Please carefully read over the below information:
Each week Campers will engage in project based learning,
collaborative creation, and problem solving while having lots of laughs
and a great time with new and old friends. All weeks will include an exploration in two different board game mechanics, guest speakers, instruction in playing trading card games (TCGs) like Pokemon and Magic: the Gathering, and the option to join a Dungeons & Dragons adventure. More details will be shared in the spring, as we get closer to Camp.
Running weekly beginning Monday June 19th and ending Friday August 25th, register for the week(s) that fit your
schedule. Campers will be grouped according to age and/or interest as much as possible.
Campers must be at least 6 years old and no more than 13 years old at
the start of camp. If your child is younger or older than these ages but you think they'd be a good fit, please email us before registering.
We've just added Week 11, 8/28 to 9/1! For this week ONLY, you may register for 3 or 5 days with or without Aftercare. Please let us know if you are registering for 3 or 5 days in the question that asks for additional enrollment information.
Please register using this Google form and we
will send you confirmation, a Release Form, and an invoice. Please note that in the event
a Camp week is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified as
soon as possible and Camp costs will be fully refunded for that week.

Camp will run weekly from 9:00am* to 3:00pm*, Monday to Friday. It will
include the main project-based learning, lunch time, outside play, a
snack, and board/card game free play as well as extra project time.
*Drop off is from 8:30am-9:00am. Pickup is from 3:00pm to 3:15pm. If your child is with us after 3:15 but not registered for Aftercare, we will charge the $25 Aftercare fee.
2) Aftercare will run from 3:00pm
to 6:00pm, with a 15 minute grace period. Aftercare will consist of
board game play, card games, and other activities designed by
counselors.
Camp pricing:
EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: register now through 2/28/23 and receive a 10% discount!
Pay $337.50 instead of $375 per Camp week$100 for weekly Aftercare, or $25/day for Aftercare
(Early
Bird Discount does not apply to the weeks of June 19th, August 14th,
and August 21st; nor Aftercare. Discounts cannot be combined. A 50%
nonrefundable deposit is required to secure your registration. Early Bird registrations are non-transferable.)
After 2/28/23 regular Camp pricing:
$375 for each Camp week
$100 for weekly Aftercare, or $25/day for Aftercare

All
Camp staff will go through background checks and child abuse
clearances, and be skilled in working with young people. There will be
outdoor time everyday (weather permitting) and Q&R is
climate-controlled, equipped with air filtration, spacious, and
comfortable. Snacks and drinks (water or juice) are included; please
provide a lunch (we are able to refrigerate and microwave food if
desired) and a water bottle.
We are currently following or exceeding all City and PA state
guidelines related to Covid-19 safety. All Q&R staff, Camp students,
and parents/guardians are required to wear masks while at/entering Q&R at this time - we may reassess this spring and will update all families of any changes to our masking policy. All Q&R staff are fully vaccinated. We will try to eat lunch at the park as much as possible. Specific details will be provided
upon registration.
