Date & Time:MARCH 10 , 2022 (Wednesday) 09:00 – 14:00 (JST)
Format:Online (ZOOM)
The world is facing various challenges such as poverty, hunger, climate change, and social disparity. Economic growth has not necessarily led to the solution of these problems. On the contrary, it has increased the disparity. Furthermore, the Corona disaster has brought to the surface the contradictions and problems that countries and regions are facing, and there is no time to lose.
In this symposium, we will discuss the politics of the SDGs, i.e., the safety and ethical issues of technological innovation, and the trade-off between the environment and the economy. Will new technologies really be able to create a society where no one is left behind? How can a fundamental shift in values take place?
