Thank you for showing interest in volunteering for Help Lewisham Hospital. Please fill out this form, and we will get in touch with any volunteering opportunities.
The data you provide is retained by us in accordance with GDPR - if at any time you wish for us to delete your data, please email
helplewishamhospital+volunteer@gmail.com and we will do so and inform you when this is complete.
We are not a Foodbank or a Mutual Aid group - although we do have connections with many of these in the surrounding areas. We have a hub which NHS staff can visit to pick up essentials and the occasional treat all free of charge. Due to the nature of how we run, there are a wide number of roles available - both on-site, doing pickups/deliveries, and also remotely. These are all equally as important to keep things running and alleviate strain on the NHS.
This form will ask about your mobility and transport options. It is important that we can ensure that any opportunities we offer you are ones you can comfortably and safely complete. If you are not mobile / do not have access to transport, please indicate this - we do have some volunteers working remotely so this is not a problem.
The health and safety of our volunteers is paramount - we cannot put anyone at risk - for your sake and the sake of the people we help. If you are ill / isolating at the moment you can still complete this form but let us know. Equally, if you become ill at any time (or a member of your household does) it is important that you let us know and isolate according to government guidelines. Once this has been followed you will be able to return to volunteering.
If you are dishonest about your own health or the health of those you live with - either on this form or whilst volunteering - we will require you to stop volunteering entirely. We know that many people would love to help, but health and safety are paramount. Not being honest about health issues could put yourself and others at very high risk. Even if your health or that of someone you live with means you could not help on-site, we may still have things you can help with - everyone has something to offer.
Please understand that due to safeguarding guidelines, we cannot accept any volunteers under the age of 18. We understand that many teens may want to help, and to help their parents, but we cannot allow this under any circumstances. We would encourage any teens who do want to help, to help share our posts on social media and get the word out about the cause.
