Our goal is for each student to improve and learn something new in each lesson, and for them to enjoy the time they spend with us as well.  Different music is selected for each student, according to their interests. 

Lesson Rates: Lessons are $25 for half of a class period (25 minutes) per week at the school. Payment is made directly to the private teacher.   

Payment: Payment is due on the 1st of each month for the entire month.  If not paid by the 10th of the month, your spot may be given to someone else. If we miss lessons for valid reasons (see paragraph entitled “Cancellation Policy”), you will be credited for the next month.  

How to Enroll: Students may enroll in private voice lessons at any time during the school year by filling out the form below. Studio spots are assigned on a first come – first served basis. 

 Cancellation Policy: Please notify your voice teacher (call or text) at least 24 hours in advance if a lesson is to be canceled, unless there is an emergency or illness. If you are unable to cancel 24 hours in advance, payment for that missed lesson is expected.  If you wake up sick, text your voice teacher as soon as you realize you will not be at school.  Please don’t ask for a make-up lesson if you forget your lesson or decide not to come at the last minute. Any lessons canceled by the teacher can be made up. You must notify your teacher at least 24 hours in advance if you have a field trip, doctor appointment, make-up tests, pep rallies, assemblies, or testing or you will be charged for not being at your lesson.  Do not assume that they already know where you will be.

 Your lesson time has been reserved for you and only you. If you are late, we cannot teach past your scheduled time or give you a partial refund. We have scheduled our time to be here for your lesson.  

 Lesson Termination: Students who sign up for voice lessons will commit to lessons for a full-calendar year. . Should lessons be terminated before the year is over, the student will be responsible for paying 50% of the remaining contract year to the teacher. Extenuating circumstances will be considered, please contact the teacher and your choir director.

Lesson Time: During lessons, we will work on technique, theory, and fundamentals, as well as performance skills, sight-reading, and ear-training. The goal of lessons is to make the student not only a better performer, but also a more intelligent musician.   Lessons are tailored to the specific needs, interests, and activities of each student. 

Recitals and Competitions: Voice teachers will have at least one recital per semester. We will also prepare for Solo and Ensemble contests during lessons.  

Practice time: It is important that students learn music and practice at home. We do not want to teach notes in a lesson when the student has a practice track for that purpose.  It is frustrating for both teacher and student, and it is a waste of your money.  Please practice at home. 

 Your voice lesson teacher will email parents by September 5th with students’ voice lesson day/time.
