It’s a new decade, and time to make your mark! Five years strong, WIAD Atlanta invites you to apply to either be a Lightning Talk Speaker –or– to participate in a Poster Session (new!) with the event being held at Emory University on Saturday, February 22, 2020.

This year’s theme is THE IA ELEMENT: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.


In line with the theme, in 2020 we want to reinforce this global celebration – highlighting how IA is Elemental (integral and foundational) to our community across the areas of CX/UX Research, Strategy, and Design in order to achieve the best results.

Information Architecture...
-ties and binds different ideas involved, the end users, customers, the stakeholders, the designers and developers.
-is often the bridge element between them all, ultimately knitting it all together through understanding and connection.
-filters the noise for a better collaboration across disciplines.

Originally created to celebrate information architecture and to educate and empower local leaders in continued growth and sharing within local communities, WIAD Atlanta welcomes you to contribute!


LIGHTNING TALK:
A lightning talk (5-8 minutes) can be on any topic (historical perspectives, case studies, innovative concept/ideas, speculative futures, etc.) so long as it is explicitly related to the global "The IA Element" WIAD 2020 theme. Please submit your elevator pitch as well as a brief summary that explains your lightning talk topic.


POSTER SESSION:
New this year! WIAD Atlanta is including a Poster Networking Session as portion of the program where attendees can mingle with one another while perusing a variety of informational posters related to "The IA Element" theme.



This call is inclusive and open to students, professionals, activists, and so on. In your submission, be sure to explicitly state how your topic relates to the global WIAD 2020 theme, THE IA ELEMENT.
