2025 ACFI Staff Application & Confirmation
Want to join the crew of the Furlinium Falcon?  This form is for those that have previously staffed and for new staff.   Perks include Comp'd registration, VIF Package and More.  If chosen for staff you will be messaged a Code for registration.  In order to receive Staff Benefits including registration, you MUST provide 12-16 hours of service during the duration of the weekend.  

REGISTRATION COMPENSATION code will be provided prior to the event.  If you register prior to the code, you may transfer your code but refunds will not be provided.

Schedules will be completed by the Team Directors closer to the convention.

A/V:
Primary Responsibility:
Have fun running the technical side of main events. No experience required. All staff are encourage to run lighting, sound, and video, but those looking to run one position can request it.

Secondary Responsibility:
Help with setup and teardown of AV equipment. Tools will be provided.

Other Responsibility:
Be open to learning from our leads and the director of A/V about the design and tech process.


Artist Alley:
Primary Responsibility:
Assist Artists with placement, setup and teardown as needed.   

Secondary Responsibility:
Answer or Relay any questions or concerns that may arise with Director of Artist Alley


Art Team  - POSITIONS FULL
Primary Responsibility:
Creating art for a variety of uses in social media posts, website and theme.


Charity:
Primary Responsibility:
Working with ACFI's Charity benefactor to establish events.  Coordinates with Director of Charity to and event staff to ensure ACFI provides the most we can for the Charity.

Secondary Responsibility:
Works with the Charity Benefactor outside of the convention to promote Charity Events


Con Store:
Primary Responsibility:
Retail style of support at Con Store 


Dealers Den:
Primary Responsibility:
Assist Dealers and Vendors with placement, setup and teardown as needed.   

Secondary Responsibility:
Answer or Relay any questions or concerns that may arise with Director of Dealers Den


Eclipse Lounge:
Primary Responsibility:
Eclipse Lounge is an After Dark event held in the Hospitality Suites.  Positions require 18+ only applicants.  Events include music and socializing in which Eclipse Lounge monitors attendees to make sure everyone is comfortable.   

Secondary Responsibility:
Serving soft drinks, water and snacks 

Other Responsibility:
Eclipse Lounge is only open from 900PM to 200AM Thursday through Saturday nights


Fursuit Events:
Primary Responsibility:
Coordinate events such as Fursuit Games and Fursuit Parade.

Secondary Responsibility:
Coordinate with Events Team and Photography Team during Group Photo


Gaming:
Primary Responsibility:
Daily responsibilities include bag check and distributing board and video games.

Secondary Responsibility:
Setup and Teardown of Game Rooms


GoH Liaison: - POSITIONS FULL
Primary Responsibility:
This position requires support long before the convention starts until after the convention.   This position coordinates the needs and communications between ACFI and its Guests of Honor

Secondary Responsibility:
At the convention, assist Guests with scheduling and any other needs 

Other Responsibility:
Assist with Travel arrangements, hotel check in and more


Headless Lounge:
Primary Responsibility:
Continuously check in to make sure the headless lounge is clean, water stations are full, clean towels are available and fans are operating.

Secondary Responsibility:
Setup and Tear Down required


Logistics:
Primary Responsibility:
Logistics team is the heart of the convention.  Logistics Team members assist with all areas of the convention where needed.   As a Staff Member of the Logistics team you will also assist with helping to make sure volunteers that sign up on sight are dispatched to areas needed.

Secondary Responsibility:
Logistics Team is a core component of Load in and Load Out.  Team members assist in moving equipment and material to the truck as well as at the ACFI storage facility.


Main Events:
Primary Responsibility:
Assist event organizer with the planning, preparation for, and execution of the event.

Secondary Responsibility:
This is very vague since it will vary hugely from event to event; we have to take the event organizer's word for it that they are helpful. Seniority and profile of the event being run are a consideration for adding staff whose roles at con are encompassed by a two hour event. When there is overlap and helpers can be involved in more than one event that is a plus.


Marketing / Social Media:  - POSITIONS FULL
Primary Responsibility:
The Marketing and Social Media teams are the voice of ACFI on Social Media platforms and in person Marketing events.   Creating posts, attending events and promoting ACFI.  This position focuses on events and media leading up to the Convention


Panels:
Primary Responsibility:
Assist with setup, teardown and onsite scheduling to make sure panelists have everything they need to complete their panels and events


Photography:
Primary Responsibility:
Photography Team members focus, yes pun intended, with Onsite photography at the convention.   Working with the Photography Director,  Production Project Manager, Guests of Honor and many other team leads to document and photograph events throughout

Secondary Responsibility:
Post Processing to provide ACFI with content we can share with attendees 


Registration:
Primary Responsibility:
The first Team most people who attend ACFI will see.   Checking in attendees, providing badges and swag.  Busiest times are right before the convention opens.  Fast Paced and High Energy as you greet excited crowds

Secondary Responsibility:
Setup and Tear Down of Registration equipment


Safety & Operations:
Primary Responsibility:
Watch and make sure people are abiding by the Code of Conduct

Secondary Responsibility:
Help attendees wherever they need assistance

Other Responsibility:
Assist in emergencies by keeping everything organized and running smoothly


Tavern 621 (Consuite)
Primary Responsibilities
Providing Food & Beverages to VIF Attendees, Staff, Dealers, Artists and Performers.  Consuite is open from Noon to 300PM each day in the Hospitality Suite

Secondary Responsibilities
Setup and Teardown of the Tavern Suite.  

Other Responsibilities
Shopping for a variety of snacks and foods to serve


Transportation:
Primary Responsibility:
Assist in loading of and removal of con assets to and from storage

Secondary Responsibility:
Upon clearing of truck, assist in moving assets to other departments as needed


Videography:
Primary Responsibility:
Videography Team is responsible for creating High Quality videos for advertising as well as our well known Mini Series each year.  Positions on this team vary from Actors / Actresses to Camera Operators and Sound Technicians.  

Secondary Responsibility:
Video documentation while onsite at the convention

NEW THIS YEAR we will be offering 2 rooms with 2 Queen beds to house up to 8 people Sunday night for those helping load out on Monday.  We will be going through applicants that mark available for Monday in a first come first served process for those in need of a room.  Ask us more about this if you have questions.
