Women's Bible Study Involvement and Leadership

So many of you have expressed a desire to be involved in the (growing!) women's Bible study! Click any and all items that pique your interest to get more information (it doesn't commit you at all!). If you are in a busy season of life - NO pressure - it is completely fine if you aren't able to volunteer in any of these ways right now! We just love that you're in Bible Study!

Prayer Team (Rebekah Jones):

Meets at 9am to pray over the Bible study and is committed to pray during the week over the requests submitted during small group time

Administrative Team (Laura Vinyard):

Registration, Organization, Communication - various needs

Small Groups (Karla McAlister) or Greeting (Paula Scott):

Small Group Leader or Co-Leader: an application process, but let us know if you're interested! Training workshops are required.

Greeter: greet people as they walk in! Give any direction needed or answer questions - just a friendly face to welcome ladies! :)

Children's Ministry (some have expressed a gifting and desire to serve here as we develop this component of Women's Bible Study):

Children's Teaching Committee (would teach on Tues mornings and also would attend a small group discussion that would meet at a different time each week just for the Children's Teaching Committee)

Children's Curriculum Development

Children's Teaching Volunteer (teach or assist only twice/semester)

Production & Creativity:

Set Design: help arrange the stage in a way that will enhance the lecture and provide visual cues to the theme of the study

Slide Creation: can use KeyNote and/or Power Point. Will meet with the speaker and make whatever slides are needed and make sure that the Presentation Tech has the slides in a timely manner prior to the presentation.

Presentation Tech: advances slides for the speakers. can use KeyNote and/or Power Point. Is responsible for running the slides during presentations. This woman must be available for Sunday night Bible Study (5-6:30 pm) AND Tuesday morning Bible Study. (could split with 1-2 others)

Content and Curriculum Development:

Curriculum Writer: help develop the content of the workbooks. If you have experience in writing Bible study curriculum, this job might be for you.

Graphic Artist: create maps, charts, etc. This job is for the woman who enjoys creating maps, timelines or decorative graphic elements. She must be available to work with the teachers to ensure she understands their needs and produce their content within 2-weeks time.

Proofreader: check for typos and misspellings. This is a job for a person who loves grammar, spelling and punctuation. Your job is to look at the copy and make sure it is free from mistakes. It does not require any advanced biblical knowledge and you will NOT be asked to deal with any of the content of the material. You must be available to proofread approximately 8-10 pages at a time and return them to Jennifer Klakulak within 72 hours.
