Yarn
This sweater is designed with about 1 in. (2.5 cm) positive ease. The original version was knitted using Quince & Co. Chickadee (100% American wool, 181yd / 50g skein Sport weight) in 5 colors:
Kumlein’s Gull(MC), 6 (6, 7, 8)(9, 10, 11) skeins
Slate 2 (2, 3, 4)(4, 5, 6) skein
Bird’s Egg 1 (1, 2, 2)(2, 3, 3) skeins
*Delft 1 (1, 2, 2)(2, 3, 3) skeins  *This color has been discontinued but a good replacement would be River or Fjord
Glacier 1 (1, 2, 2)(2, 3, 3) skeins
I recommend using either the same yarn I used, or you are more than welcome to use any other Sport weight yarn as long as you meet gauge. I’d love to see which colors you’d choose for yourself! I can also help with color choices.

This garment is written to be knitted from the bottom up, then joined with the arms into a yoke style sweater.

Gauge: 11.5 sts = 2” in stockinette stitch, worked in the round using size B needles, after blocking. Please do not skip the gauge step!

Tester Knitting Requirements: Provide feedback throughout the construction process, including any written mistakes, gauge issues, pattern readability, total yardage used, and to include trying on the garment at different stages.

Deadline: Ideally September 1 with check-ins every 3 weeks. This is plenty of time to finish a sweater like this, but I can be very flexible with time. Please communicate with me as you go so I can get a better understanding of our timeline outcome.

Showcasing work: You are more than welcome to show your work throughout the process on social media and ravelry. You can include pictures of the garment, but please do not include any pictures of the written pattern or color charts. I am trusting you with my work!
