This is an introductory woodworking workshop to learn basic tool sharpening on grinding, sharpening and finishing cutting tool edges.  This class will teach you the basics and include hands-on training to sharpen cutting blades of hand tools focusing on chisels and hand planes.  The workshop will include a discussion of various degrees of tool damage/condition and steps to remedy each situation.  Participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring one or more chisels or hand planes to practice sharpening.

Women's Boatbuilding

This 6 week skill building workshop is designed for community members, 18+, who identify as women, with any level of wood working experience. We will learn by working on a 12’ ft wooden “pocket cruiser” Scamp sailboat. We will also build skills by working on plenty of individual woodworking projects.
