Multicultural Eid Potluck Dinner - June 15, 2019
Save an Eventbrite ticket for yourself as early as possible, then fill in this form once you have decided what to bring.

Feel free to bring whatever type of item is easiest for you:

Main Dish
Salad
Appetizer/Snacks
Kid Food
Desserts
Beverages

Please do not bring nuts (sorry, baklava fans!) due to allergy safety. Kindly ensure that, when applicable, only halal gelatin, alcohol-free vanilla flavouring and alcohol-free sauces are used.

Suggestions from a nutritionist:
- try to avoid deep fried foods
- if you need to use oil, try to avoid canola oil as it changes form under high heat

Try to bring a reusable water bottle/thermos and tupperware if possible. Disposable plates, cutlery, cups and napkins will be available, but we strongly advise you to bring your own reusable supplies for the benefit of the environment, as single-use materials are extremely wasteful.

Kindly let us know whether the food is spicy, non-spicy or mild (if applicable - e.g. spicy chicken rice dish)

MAIN DISH - Chicken curry (mild), Grilled chicken, Chicken curry, Chicken pasta, Fried chicken keema, Lamb curry, Egg curry, Main dish, Sicilian dish, Non-spicy lentil rice, satay (WITH PEANUT SAUCE)
SALAD - Salad, Mixed Vegetables, Veggie Platter
Appetizer/Snacks - Spicy samosas, roti, mashed potatoes, 4 loafs of sliced bread/equivalent size of bread rolls
KID FOOD - Pizza, 20 boxes of Smarties
DESSERT - Vegan date square, sweets, black forest cake, fruits, cupcakes, neopolitan ice cream
BEVERAGES - Juice, (bring a pre-filled water bottle if possible), chia seeds + fruit drink, water jug, chai

Request for more kid-friendly food such as:
- mac and cheese
- grilled cheese sandwich
- fries and nuggets

You can find aluminum serving dishes if needed at Dollarama (e.g. at Commercial/Broadway) to more easily transport the food. There will be 20 children, and everyone else will be adults or young adults. Bring something which is easy for your cooking ability level. We highly recommend bringing a container to take home any delicious leftovers!
