This year, Jewish Studies' contribution to the SGS Summer Film Festival is ALSO the launch event for the third year of REWIND: The Shenson Retrospective Film Series. This year, REWIND will explore "Jews and Genre," a theme that dovetails perfectly with the Summer Film Fest theme: "Common Worlds, Limitless Realities: Futurism and Fantasy in Global Cinema."

For this event, we've selected Ari Folman's 2013 genre-bending sci-fi journey, "The Congress."
