WHAT: A half-day retreat for incoming students (first year and transfer students) interested in learning more about UVA and meeting other multicultural students. This is a great way to meet the Multicultural Student Services staff and student leaders from various communities, hear about opportunities at the University, and, most importantly, build bonds with other incoming students. Food  will be provided for retreat participants.  

WHEN: Sunday, September 5th from 12 pm - 4 pm

WHERE: Multicultural Student Center (MSC), Newcomb 2nd Floor

WHO: You! We are seeking a diverse representation from all the cultural communities MSS serves: APIDA, Hispanic/Latinx, Middle Eastern, Native/Aboriginal, and LGBTQ+. We will follow up with a confirmation email by August 30th to those who are selected for the retreat. Regardless of attendance at the retreat, everyone is encouraged to stop by all the MSS centers, the MSC, the Latinx Student Center, the LGBTQ Center, & the Interfaith Student Center - We will have plenty of programs, resources, and opportunities to connect with other students at the start of the year!

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT THIS INTEREST FORM: Priority deadline is Thursday, August 26th at 11:59PM. Limited spots are available. You will be notified regarding your participation no later than 11:59PM on Monday, August 30th. Please let us know at any point if you can no longer attend so that we can notify any participants on the waiting list.
