Together Through Art Volunteer Registration
On August 28, 2021, Art Resource Collaborative for Kids (ARCK) and Operation P.E.A.C.E. will host “Together Through Art” (TTA) to engage the community in a free Public Art Walk and Festival to bring our community back together after a year of social distancing, to build bridges and create meaningful human connections through art, and to promote art for civic engagement, equitable education, and access to art for all. The Art Walk will start at Ruggles Station (by Northeastern University) and feature prominent public art pieces in the Fenway neighborhood, concluding with an interactive art making activity and celebration at the final station on Jersey Street outside of Fenway Park. Along the route, participants will have the opportunity to engage with the art (in person and through a curated mobile app), artists, and other community members. At the final station, in collaboration with two Boston-based artists, participants will create their own piece of art that will be integrated into a larger, cohesive installation piece. This final station will also include a DJ, pizza and ice cream, a balloon twister, and activities to engage participants.
ARCK and Operation PEACE are seeking 30-35 volunteers to support this event from 9am-2pm on August 28. Volunteers may assist participants in navigating the route, providing information about the featured artworks, provide assistance at the final art making station, and provide assistance with set-up and tear-down of the event.
