The AIT year is a special one at Diamond Crest Daycamp. Providing a solid foundation of skills to our Aides in Training (AIT’s) is essential to having AIDEs next year, and Junior Unit Leaders in following years.
As we can only train about 60 AIT’s in a given year, we cannot put off their training to next year without impacting next year’s AIT class. We are trying to find a way to do 1 week of AIT camp in person, in small groups of 12 with the same leader each day and enhanced hygiene protocols (per CDC and county guidelines for summer camps), either at Huddart Park or at a local park or school. If this is not possible due to restrictions this summer, we will aim for a weekend camping trip next Spring or Summer, before Daycamp 2021. The revised cost of AIT Training is $210.
This year’s AIT’s will likely have their graduation ceremony at an overnight next summer, before camp starts in 2021.
We are still working out the details, and what we can do will depend on county restrictions.

Option 1 - AIT WILL participate in AIT Training at a cost of $210. If you paid in full, your account will be credited. If you paid $20 at registration, you will be Autobilled for the balance on June 15.
